Well, after the last few days visiting Ibiza, Cartagena and today Gibralter we are now heading home :(
We visited Ibiza on Monday where we got off the ship and wondered around on our own. There wasnt a great deal to do in the town we stopped in so there isnt really much to report. We came back to the ship at about 1pm, had some lunch and did some sun bathing - or sun shading in Richards case lol. It was our third formal night and the theme was black and white, with an extra James Bond theme added on, so we got ourselves all dressed up, had dinner and then visited the casino where we didnt do so well :s
Tuesday we were in Cartagena. Our tour took us to Elche, which was about 1.5 hours away, where we saw the sity centre, a tropical garden and a shoe factory - where we thought we would get some good discounted shoes...trouble was that even the discounted prices were 50 GBP plus....we therefore came back empty handed lol. We arrived back at about 230 so we had a few hours to wonder round Cartegena for a few hours before heading off. The town was quite pretty and looked very modern with marble tiling on the ground and new shops.
At dinner we celebrated with a couple who we sit with as it was their 40th wedding anniversary - champagne and singing all round :)
Today we have made our final stop in Gibralter where we were greeted with misty and humid weather, which wasnt so great :( We have however had a good day seeing the rock, St Michaels Cave, some shops and of course the monkeys...even some baby ones too which was cute :)
We are now at sea and on our way back home. It will take us a further 2 days to reach Southampton so fingers crossed for some nice weather whilst we are on board.
Hope all is well. See you all soon.

Rome...ing around
What a day!!! Another early start for our day trip to Rome, after a quick breakfast upstairs we were ready to head out for another adventure in the Med :) This time we were heading off to the capital of Italy...Rome...for a look around as much as we could in the time we had.
The coach journey in took about 1hr 30mins which gave us a chance to grab a little bit more sleep in preparation for a day of walking around. We arrived at the northern part of the city centre where our guide left us to our own devices with nothing more than a map (which turned out to be pretty rubbish!!!) and a warning about pickpockets!! Never the less we headed out into Rome in temperatures already at 25 degrees and glorious sunshine, just what a fair skinned person wants!!!
We started off by passing the City Hall on our way to the Flavian Ampetheatre aka the Colleseum. We signed up for a guided tour which turned out to be very very good although he did make a comment about Liverpool fan's in the same sentence as slaves and criminals!!! Obviously not a football fan :) lol after a short break we went on the second part of the tour around the Roman Forum and Palentino Hill. This was very good and we both learnt some bits and pieces but I think the heat was starting to cook our brains slowly so by the end of the tour we were both ready to make our way back to the bus via the other tourist hotspots including:
The Trive Fountain, The Spanish Steps & The Pantheon. All of which were breathtaking and easy to find as they were the only places surrounded by hundreds of people all taking pictures :)
With all the sightseeing done and feeling slightly weirey we wondered back down the main street Via de Costo (I think anyway!!!) via a few shops and then onto the bus for another quick sleep before getting back onto the ship.
We celebrated our first 2 weeks of marriage by having dinner in the Cafe Jardin, which is a Marco Pierre White restuarant and was OK :) hahaha seriously though it was excellent as you would expect.

Florence and Pisa
It was an early start for us this morning as we had to be on the quay side for 815am. After a hearty breakfast and some queuing to get off the ship and on to the bus we wound our way through Tuscany to the first part of our tour in Florence. We arrived at about 1015 and were greeted by a very quiet and kinda odd tour guide who we couldnt really hear or understand so pretty much just followed her around and took in the sights of Florence - statues, churches and the stunning view of the river. Although this first part of our day was a little dissapointing from a 'tour guide' perspective the city was very pretty and we enjoyed the morning and early afternoon.
After lunch, where we got told off for being served our coffee last (our fault of course and nothing to do with the waitress eh ?!?!?) we headed for Pisa. This took about 1 hr 20 mins. Once in Pisa we had about 45 mins to look at the leaning tower, the church, other buildings and to do some souvenier shopping. This was just about enough time to see everything, get some pics and buy some bits and bobs.
We then headed back to our coach, via the many 'lookie lookie' men who were trying to sell fake bags, watches etc, and wound our way back through Tuscany to our port in Livorno, which is such a pretty port (?!?!?!) lol
Anyway, we are off to seek some evening entertainment and get an early night before heading off to Rome tomorrow :)

Monaco & Monte Carlo(ads of money!!!)
Well it is amazing what money can buy you, if you have enough of it of course!!! A small 1 bedroom flat in Monaco up for sale for 7.9 million euros, any takers??? It was simply a different world with money clearly no object for the vast majority of the inhabitants of what is a beautiful place.
Our first sights of Monaco/Monte Carlo where from a distance as we had to anchor up and then get tendered into the port but it looked beautiful and we weren't let down when we got on land. Everything was so clean and tidy and looked a million dollars lol we had a guided tour around most of the F1 circuit and the Princes's private car museum and then had some time to ourselves to look around a bit more, so after another look at some of the circuit that we had missed and then a look round some shops we ventured up the steps to the Royal Palace. Had a quick look round and bought an ice cream then wound our weiry way back to the port for a rather bumpy ride back 'home'
Bye for now

The wonders of Barcalona
We have just set sail from our first port of call - Barcalona!! After a longish day walking around what was a lovely city we are safely back on board our floating home and making our way to Monte Carlo :) The weather is getting better and better and the seas calmer and calmer, so all in all it is very good.
We spent the day on a guided tour of Barcalona and saw some magnificent architecture, didn't think it would my (Richard thats is) thing to start with but it was simply breathtaking I have to say, lets hope all out other destinations are just as good :)
Now it's time to sit back and relax before dinner at 8:30 and then how knows what after that, could get used to this life I have to say :)
See you all soon

Free....
We have just about overcome our motion discomfort (seems to be the PC way of saying sea sick!!!) and have been out and about on the boat today :) weather is getting better as we near the med although it was a bit rough last nite.
It was our first formal nite last nite and we met the captiain, although if he was having his picture taken who was driving this thing!!! lol
Today has been a sporty day, a bit of ping pong and then some golf :) i say golf it was on a simulator so it involved no walking, which isnt all bad ;) haha
Off to play blackjack and maybe do a quiz later and then part take in our current favourite cruise pass time of sleeping :)
Hope all is well in blighty,
See you soon
